Anglo American recently consulted on a proposal for a Port Handling Facility & Overland Conveyor on land between Wilton International and the River Tees, as part of its Woodsmith Project.

 

The planning application was submitted to Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council on 9 February 2023 but has recently been updated to reflect a small number of changes to the proposed scheme. The target date for determination of the application is now 21 February 2025.
