Planning Application

To reflect the cross boundary nature of the proposals and its location within both the North York Moors National Park Authority and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, two identical planning applications have been submitted to seek approval for amendments to the design of the Mine and MTS sites. The following documents have been submitted:

 

1. A covering letter, which includes a full list of accompanying planning drawings;
    

2. Planning application forms;
    

3. A Planning Statement that assesses the proposed changes against prevailing planning policy;
    

4. A Design & Access Statement that sets out the design evolution of the proposed amendments;
    

5. A Statement of Community Involvement that provides details of the pre-application consultation undertaken;
    

6. An Economic Impact Report that assesses the socio-economic impacts associated with the proposed amended scheme;
    

7. A Supplementary Environmental Statement (SES) that provides an assessment of the potential environmental effect related to the proposed amendments to the scheme. The SES is provided in two volumes (a Non-Technical Summary, and Technical Studies / Appendices), and;
    

8. Planning application drawings which illustrate the proposed changes.
